1.1 Introduction

This agreement is between the Service provider (‘us’) and the Publisher (‘you’).

1.2 Monetary Agreement

When you accept this agreement you agree to this monetary division

  1. The Publisher gets 70% of every sale
  2. The Service provider gets 30% of every sale 

     1.1.1     Example

For instance, if you sold a book worth K100, the funds due to you and those due to the service provider are calculated as follows:

1.3 Publisher’s Duties

As a publisher you are responsible for the following in this agreement:

          1.1.2     Content

  1. Submit a book or books that you hold the copyright. You must ensure that your content doesn’t violate laws or copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  2. Submit a book or books that do not promote abuse or sexual exploitation of children, contain pornography, glorifies rape or pedophilia, advocates terrorism, or other material we deem inappropriate or offensive.
  3. Books that promote the prosperity gospel are not acceptable for sale here. The prosperity gospel is defined as the “message that attaches material possession to the work of Jesus Christ. In other words, saying that Jesus Christ came to die so that we become rich (Jairos Banda).”  This we call fall gospel hence as a publisher on this site you are called to publish content promoting the right gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not just a store but are here to serve Christ through this business.

          1.1.3     Profile Details

  1. You are responsible to provide accurate information about yourself as required by the service provider

          1.1.4     Payment Details

  1. You are responsible to provide accurate payment details as required by the service provider

          1.1.5     Tax Payment

  1. You are responsible to pay tax for your product (s). This is in accordance with the Law of Zambia. We do not deduct tax from your earnings. Hence you are supposed to calculate your tax from all your sales and submit it to ZRA.  If you are not a registered taxpayer, go ahead and register at the ZRA site. They will give you a taxpayer Identification Number (TPIN). 1.4 Service provider’s Duties

As a service provider, we are responsible for the following in this agreement:

  1. Advertise for you. We cover the cost of the advertisement
  2. Notify you whenever there is a purchase for your product
  3. Update you when there are changes to the terms and conditions for our service
  4. Make payments in due time
  5. Submit all the purchase receipts related to your product at the moment of purchase

1.5 Payments are made

You shall receive payment every time you request payment on Friday. This means that any purchase made on the weekend when requested is paid on Friday, of the following week. Now, the processing time for your payment may depend on your bank.

1.6 Payment Methods accepted

  1. Mobile Money (if you do not have a bank Account)
  2. Bank Transfer

1.7 Mode of communication

Communication shall be between the Service provider and the Publisher through contacts submitted by the Publisher to the Service provider. By default, the Service provider shall use the details on the profile for the publisher when provided to communicate.

1.8 Number of Accounts allowed and Security

Publishers shall open, only, one vendor account. They are not to use other ways to open many accounts. When this is discovered, other accounts shall be deleted and he/she shall be suspended from uploading new products until a written appeal is submitted to the service provider. The products on the first account shall still be sold for the publisher and one shall also be able to request for withdrawal.

We provide 2FA (two-factor authentication) for accounts created here. However, management of those accounts is not only left to us but also to the owner of the account. Hence, it is the responsibility of the Publisher to create strong passwords and use 2FA that meets the need. We recommend that you use Login with OTP if you prefer this method. Do not use the OTP option on the miniOrange Security options. On the miniOrange, we have configured Google Authenticator and Security questions for our users. Choose one of them from the two as your 2FA.

1.9 Closing of Account and Deletion And Strikes

If you desire to close your account, make sure to close your outstanding debt if any. Your account will be deleted once confirmed by you. To open an account again you will have to start the process again.

If you are found wanting concerning these terms and conditions, your account will be deleted also.

We offer three strikes resolve.

  1. One: Warning
  2. Two: suspension from uploading new products until the appeal is made
  3. Three: closing of your account.

1.10   Change of terms and Conditions of Service

This document shall be updated from time to time. The updates shall always be published at the end of every year. This means that all services provided shall continue to operate within the confirmed terms and conditions until the new one is published shall the terms and conditions be rendered void.
